Sources and context
- 00:00–00:09 · Consumer position. The opening is the consumer’s complaint about quality, warranty and service. It does not establish a legal finding. Read the questions and requested remedies.
- 00:09–00:18 · The reported promise, July 2015. A cropped excerpt of The Dark Room article’s archived first page. The visible article date is 3 July 2015; the print date is 12 September 2019. This is a third-party report, not the original 2014 Leica announcement. Policy chronology and further sources.
- 00:18–00:27 · Reported defect. EX13, the consumer’s published CCD-corrosion sample. The film labels it as the consumer’s evidence, not an independent diagnostic report.
- 00:27–00:36 · June 2022 company correspondence. The excerpt comes from an existing rendered archive page, showing Complaint Manager Kirstin Masney’s position on CCD availability and upgrade offers. It is not a Gmail interface screenshot. The crop omits recipient lists and contact details. Read the complete thread and context.
- 00:36–00:45 · Later company reply. The dated archive note about the company letter of 2 October 2026. The film acknowledges this later correspondence; the complainant believes Leica’s 2 October reply did not answer his questions point by point.
- 00:45–00:54 · Requested accountability. These are the consumer’s demands. Order 1058152 and order 1105973 are related service files in the broader archive. Documents must be read by model and transaction: the EX04 estimate identifies an M (Typ 240), and an estimate is not proof that a repair charge was paid. Read all twelve questions.
