This note adds no new facts. It points to an item already in the archive’s journal entry for 2014-12-11: Leica’s house magazine LFI ran “Problems with CCD Sensors”, which restated goodwill independent of camera age and pointed owners to Customer.Care@leica-camera.com and +49-6441-2080-189 (public LFI source).
Why it matters here: the same “regardless of age” baseline appears in the DPReview report of 2014-12-10 and in the German Kulanz wording on DSLR-Forum (2014-12-11). Coming from Leica’s own magazine, it is not just a forum rumour. The later steps (the five-year limit and €982 contribution from 2017, the €1303 + VAT price from 2018, the 2020 stop) are already logged on /promises/ and in the earlier note on 2014 goodwill.
Open line as of 2026-10-05: /questions/ still lists Q1–Q12, including how the age-independent wording became a paid, time-limited offer, with no numbered point-by-point written reply on file. Orders 1058152 / 1105973 stay on the payment-on-file record. Allegations and unanswered questions only, not a court finding.
