2025 forum report: a Wetzlar-replaced M9 sensor corroded again — then went to a third-party shop

DE: Ein Besitzer berichtet im L-Camera-Forum (April 2025), Wetzlar habe den M9-Sensor bereits einmal getauscht; dieselbe CCD-Familie sei erneut korrodiert, die Kamera ging zu Kolari. Fremder Erfahrungsbericht, Behauptung, keine Feststellung. Keine neuen Tatsachen.

This note adds no new facts. It points to an item already in the archive’s journal entry for 2025-04-08, which summarises a public L-Camera-Forum thread. As summarised there, the owner says Wetzlar had already changed the sensor once, the same CCD family corroded again, and the camera was sent to Kolari in New Jersey for cover-glass work. This is another owner’s account, not this complainant’s case, and it is recorded as an alleged, unverified forum report.

Why it sits in this file: the 2014 goodwill programme was publicly described as free replacement regardless of age, including sensors already swapped. A replacement that later corrodes again leaves the owner with the question this archive keeps asking: after the alleged 2020 stop, what does Wetzlar offer besides an upgrade? The archive’s other public items point the same way: the December 2024 Reddit thread where the default advice is Kolari rather than Wetzlar, the 2021 Kolari ~$999 entry, and the third-party cover-glass note.

Open line as of 2026-10-11: /questions/ still lists Q1–Q12 with no numbered point-by-point written reply on file. Orders 1058152 / 1105973 stay on the payment-on-file record. Allegations and unanswered questions only, not a court finding.
