This note adds no new facts. It reads two journal entries already on this archive from the side of someone buying a used M9 today. The journal entry for 2026-09-18 summarises the public fotohandel.de M9 Kaufberatung (buyer's guide): free sensor swap until autumn 2017, then about €1,550, then no swap at all from September 2020, and a serial-number check only through Customer Care in Wetzlar. The archive's CCD-Korrosion page adds the guide's note that most owners had the free swap done.
The journal entry for 2026-09-19 records a used M9 offered by Classic Store Wetzlar with the line “Sensor 2016 ID15, free of corrosion”, as quoted on the CCD-Korrosion and CCD-Austausch eingestellt pages. The journal reads it as a sign that only some replacement generations are trusted. That fits the 2026-09-24 journal entry on forum CCD-ID lore and the 2025 report of a Wetzlar-replaced sensor that corroded again.
Why it matters to this file: the 2014 goodwill statement was publicly worded as free replacement regardless of age, including sensors already swapped. As alleged, a buyer now has to check which sensor is fitted and when it went in, and can confirm it only with Wetzlar, because no new CCD replacement is on offer after the alleged 2020 stop. The guide's figure of about €1,550 reads alongside the €1,303 + VAT contribution quoted in a Customer Care email on this file (a quote, not proof of payment) and the 2017 five-year limit.
Open line as of 2026-10-17: /questions/ still lists Q1–Q12 with no numbered point-by-point written reply on file, including which replacement sensors Leica itself considers free of the corrosion risk. Orders 1058152 / 1105973 stay on the payment-on-file record. Allegations and unanswered questions only, not a court finding.
